UNDERSTANDING PROPHECY
(Numbers 12:16, Acts 12:17)
WHAT IS PROPHECY?
Prophecy
is a gift from the Lord Jesus to His people given through the Holy Spirit to
edify, warn, correct and chastise His loved Children
GOD GIVES PROPHECY FOR THE FOLLOWING REASON
1. To
enable men to write the scripture (2 Peter 1:21). Inspired word were given to
these men by the spirit, to enable them to write.
2. To
reveal His heart and mind to His people. Amos 3:7. Prophecy comes from someone
who is understanding the heart and mind of God and then reveal it to us
3. To
show God's people some things which will happen in the future
4. To
give prophetic guidance to individual, people or churches (2 Chronicles 18:6,
19:2, 20:20, Rom. 8:4)

The
difference between vision and dreams is that vision is seen while awake or
conscious and a dream is a vision seen while asleep or unconscious.

in the church is been exposed today through vision. (Eze 8:3, Daniel 1:17,
